Hunting

Deer Hunting

Take the guess work out of when and where you sit and let us put you on some deer. I hunt deer during all seasons (archery, shot gun, rifle, and muzzleloader) in Maine and Massachusetts.

I specialize in archery hunting in suburban areas.  Deer have learned to stay close to homes once the hunting season comes around and have increasingly turned nocturnal. I work closely with land owners to get permission to harvest deer on their property that eat ornamental landscape and spread ticks that carry Lyme disease. This is especial effective and generally receptive during the archery season. Biologists have determined the zones I hunt can’t sustain the amount of deer currently on them and are overpopulated. The expanded archery season in Maine and Massachusetts are great opportunities to get out early and stay out late.

Upland Hunting

Upland Hunting:

Contrary to popular belief there are still Grouse in the lower part of the State of Maine and in Western Massachusetts but you need to do a lot of walking for them.

Another option for those who don’t want to have to drive hours in order to get in prime Grouse habitat is to stay local and hunt preserve birds. A propagation license allows me to offer bird hunting year round at various locations through out Maine. This is a great experience that offers multiple shot opportunities.  My dogs and service are also available for hunts in the stocked areas in Massachusetts. Turkey hunting

A Ruffed Grouse hunt in Northern Maine is always something special. With the crisp air and leaves beneath your feet and endless miles of old logging trails your bound to have a great time. Let my dogs do the work and put you on Grouse and Woodcock. My dogs are close working and constantly check back in with the hunter. I have German Shorthair Pointers for those who like to hunt over a pointing dog or a retriever for those that prefer a flushing dog.

Coyote Hunting

If your deer season wasn’t as productive as you would have liked take it out on a coyote. Regardless of what study you read it is now a fact that a full grown mature coyote can take down a full grown whitetail doe during the winter or when that deer is heavily stressed. Unlike southern or Midwest coyotes Maine coyotes are much bigger. We hunt coyotes over bait and use calls to lure them in.

"The #1 conservation tool on earth is a well-trained dog."
